Baby Steps Press was created in 1990 by Anita L. Pace. Anita decided on the title of her company because of the baby steps she took in dealing with panic disorder and agoraphobia which began when she was 13 years old. It's original intention was to create one book, Write from the Heart. Since that 1992 publication, however, Anita has gone on to publish five other books.

Whether by self-help, humorous, inspirational books or perhaps in the future, children's books, Baby Steps Press is dedicated to books that improve the lives of its readers, even if just one step to its betterment.

If You Want to Soar, You've Got to Learn to Fly

Author Anita Pace takes you back to the fifties and sixties as the world is seen through the eyes of a child, growing up in her Catholic-Italian household. Cleverly constructed, the tale is told in a first person autobiographical style as though the author had actually written the story at the time she was living it. We learn Anita is a lesbian far into the book, and many distressing moments are inflected with her natural humor. It is a cleansing book, for both lesbians and the general public.

Life Isn't Just a Panic, Stories of Hope by Recovering Agoraphobics

Does your heart pound out of your chest for no apparent reason? Are you afraid of leaving your home? Do you sometimes feel you need to run out of the supermarket or from any social situation? These are but a few of the situations indicating you could be suffering from panic disorder and/or agoraphobia. This book offers relief for people that suffer from anxiety disorders and help them a relaxed, tranquil, peaceful life. If you suffer from panic attacks or anxiety, this book will be of great help to you!

Pets' Peeves, Dogs Speak Out!

From Grief to Action; "Caring" On the Spirits of Princess Diana and Mother Teresa:

This little book tells of simple acts of caring that most everyone can do. Many ideas were contributed by children. Pace contributes 100% of the profits from sales of this book to various charitable organizations.
